An app for BLOs
Formerly called GARUDA App and developed by the Election Commission of India, BLOApp is a free productivity app for Indian Booth Level Officers (BLO). It features a user-friendly interface designed for the seamless completion of tasks, ranging from conducting house-to-house verification surveys to obtaining a polling station’s GIS coordinates.
Completed BLO-related tasks
With BLOApp, BLOs can provide updated photos of polling stations, check the availability of Extended Minimum Facilities (EMF) and Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), complete forms, assist in the registration of new voters, view the total number of electors, and many more.
Unfortunately, the app has its fair share of issues. For example, some users reported getting logged out or experiencing trouble logging in to the app. Others struggle with uploading photos of voters. It also lags and infinitely loads, inconveniencing the job of BLOs.
Technical issues need to be resolved
Whether it’s conducting a house-to-house survey or completing forms, BLOApp is designed to provide Indian BLOs the convenience of completing any task from their fingertips. However, the constant lagging and logouts are infuriating to deal with while on the job.
